Baked Apple & Walnut Porridge Recipe by Honey Australia

Serves 10 

Prep time10 minutes. Cook time: 40-45 minutes 


  • 2 cups rolled oats 
  • 2 Tablespoons Manuka Honey  
  • 1 cup walnuts 
  • ½ cup sultanas 
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder 
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon 
  • 2 large eggs 
  • 2 cups milk of your choice 
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 
  • 4 Tablespoons (80ml) extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) 
  • 2 apples, peeled and cut into 2cm cubes  
  • 1 cup reduced-fat Greek yoghurt  


  1. Preheat the oven to 170°C and grease a 30cm baking dish with EVOO. 
  2. In a medium bowl mix the oats, honey, ½ cup of walnuts, sultanas, baking powder and cinnamon.  
  3. In another bowl, whisk the eggs, milk and vanilla until well combined. Add the milk mixture to the oat mixture, along with the EVOO 
  4. Scatter the apples evenly on the bottom of the prepared baking dish. Pour the oat mixture over top and spread evenly. Sprinkle remaining ½ cup walnuts on top. Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the top is golden and the oats are set. 

Serve warm or cold with Greek yoghurt.
